Frequency inverter production to be significantly expanded
Demand for NORD DRIVESYSTEMS frequency inverters is increasing to such an extent that the production facility in Aurich, northern Germany, needs to be expanded. NORD has been producing electronic drive components in Aurich since the 1980s, and it is the production site for all frequency inverters NORD supplies worldwide. The new building in Aurich is now nearing completion.

Whether NORD frequency inverters are used in Europe, Canada, the US, or China, they are all delivered from Aurich to local locations. To meet the significantly increased demand, a new production facility is being built adjacent to the existing facility, with space for manufacturing, logistics, and training. Once it is operational, the production space will have more than doubled.
Topping out
Work began in September 2024. Among others, a new nitrogen tank was installed, which increased the existing tank's volume by more than 60% and provided an oxygen-free protective atmosphere during the automated soldering of the modules. On the way to completion, topping out was reached on August 22 of this year. With this expansion, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS can meet the high demand for control cabinet and decentral frequency inverters and motor starters with future-proof production conditions, ensuring short delivery times and high quality in the future.
