Now with even more power: IE5+ synchronous motors from NORD

With its IE5+ motor generation, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS offers high-efficiency solutions to significantly reduce energy and resource consumption in industry. The company has now extended the power of its permanent magnet synchronous motors to 11 kW.

NORD’s IE5+ permanent magnet synchronous motors are characterised by a constantly high efficiency of up to 95% over a wide torque range. They therefore achieve optimum energy consumption performance in partial load and speed ranges. The high-efficiency motors are now available in three sizes and cover a wide range of applications, with power ratings from 0.35 kW to 11 kW and continuous torque from 1.6 Nm to 43.8 Nm.

Variant reduction for streamlined processes

With their high overload capacity, large adjustment range and constant torque across a wide speed range of up to 2,400 rpm, IE5+ motors enable variant reduction in many applications, significantly streamlining administrative, manufacturing, logistics, storage and service processes.

Energy efficiency and material savings

The efficiencies of the IE5+ motors significantly exceed the highest defined energy efficiency class, which considerably reduces their energy consumption and CO2e emissions. In addition, the holistic concept of the new motor technology combines energy and material efficiency, thus scoring twice in terms of sustainability.

System solutions from a modular system

The IE5+ motors, designed for worldwide use, are optionally available with a motor-integrated encoder, an integrated mechanical brake and various flange mountings for direct attachment to a gear unit. NORD also offers optimally matched drive systems tailored to specific customer requirements. These systems are built from an extensive modular product range that includes electric motors, gear units and frequency inverters, enabling increased operational efficiency and reduced TCO .
